The purpose of this week’s activities
is to drive home the idea that tourism is
the most important pillar of our economy.
Throughout this week, schools, community centers,
and public offices will be visited to emphasize
the importance of tourist industry.
There will be many activities and excursions
to tourist attractions, culminating in the
so-called “Kaya Liber” (Traffic
Free Road) event at Nieuwe Haven, where both
the tourists and local population can meet
and enjoy the varied products Curacao has
to offer.
